Harvest Radiance Diffuser Blend
Fall already comes with crisp, clean air, comforting foods and beautiful color changes in the waning leaves. For me personally, I look forward to this season all year since it’s my favorite season. There’s a feeling in the air that beckons me to linger longer, cozy up in soft, quiet spaces and enjoy a beautiful cup of something pleasurable. Adding to the luxury of the fall season, diffusing essential oils is so satisfying and soothing to the soul and overall well-being.
How to Use the Harvest Radiance Diffuser Blend
I recommend using an ultrasonic diffuser to diffuse your essential oils. These are the type of diffusers that use water (a few don’t) and no heat which is really important.
Heat can damage citrus essential oils so be mindful of that.
We have only used doTERRA branded diffusers here so I can only speak to those as far as how they work, the quality and effectiveness. We LOVE them and own one for every level of our home. The LUMO diffuser will run for 10 hours and it has seven different light features.
If you don’t have a diffuser you can always put the blend on diffusing jewelry for individual use too. There are bracelets and necklaces to choose from.
When to Use the Harvest Radiance Diffuser Blend
The oils in this blend are uplifting and energizing while at the same time grounding.
You’ll want to use it in the morning when you are waking up and in the afternoon when you get that afternoon lull or fatigue.
Four Powerful Essential Oils in the Harvest Radiance Diffuser Blend
There are four essential oils in this recipe that I’d like to tell you a little bit about so you understand why you should use them and what they are effective for.
Wild Orange Essential Oil
Wild Orange is a cold pressed oil is mood boosting and helps to sweep away stress as well as uplift emotions. Due to its high limonene content, it helps your body’s cells function as they should as well as cleanse cell site receptors. It is wonderful to boost your immune system by helping to ward off immune threats and Wild Orange can help to improve lymphatic drainage which is necessary for our bodies to operate optimally. Wild Orange is excellent for supporting kidney and liver function as well. *Please note that, due to citrus essential oils being photosensitive, should you apply either Lime or Wild Orange topically to your body that your skin will be more susceptible to sunburn for 12 hours after application.
Lime
Lime is another invigorating and stimulating essential oil that is distilled through the cold-pressed method. It helps to clear the mind and encourage mental energy as well as aid in respiratory issues. Lime is antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral and is perfect to cleanse the air. It adds a fresh, clean smell to the air and can play a role in healthy weight management! (1) *Please note that, due to citrus essential oils being photosensitive, should you apply either Lime or Wild Orange topically to your body that your skin will be more susceptible to sunburn for 12 hours after application.
Peppermint
Peppermint oil has a cooling and calming effect on the body due to its monoterpenol called menthol. (2) It has also be researched and found to have a profound effect on the pathophysiology of headaches. (3) Due to the ketones in peppermint, it may also be able to stimulate normal cell regeneration and promote normal new tissue growth. Ketones are also known to help with immune threats and respiratory issues. **Peppermint essential oil has some contraindications for those who are on over the counter medicines or pharmaceutical drugs.
White Fir or Siberian Fir
doTERRA currently doesn’t sell White Fir because of its sustainability and they promise to be good stewards of the earth. If you do happen to have a bottle then you can use it in this blend.
If you don’t have White Fir then Siberian Fir is a premium substitute for White Fir and actually, has better beneficial constituents in comparison to White Fir.
Fir oils are also called “forest healers” because of their restorative properties. These oils impart a woodsy and earthy scent when used. They are excellent to help battle fatigue as well as muscle aches, improve respiratory health, aid in joint discomfort and boost bone health. Siberian Fir is also used to promote mental clarity and, due to its ester content, it is very calming. A particular fir needle oil has been researched and found to increase levels of glutathione which is our master antioxidant and been shown to help keep cells healthy. (4)
Siberian Fir is a profound disinfectant and can cleanse your air as well. (5)
