Hallelujah
This word is of utmost praise to our sweet Heavenly Father – Lord Jesus! He is our creator. He is astounding. He is unfathomable. He is our Savior. He is Righteous. He is Perfect. He is worthy to be praised! Our Elohim, Jehovan Rapha, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Nissi! Praise God.
Every time I hear the song Hallelujah I just stop everything and worship. It brings me to a place of peace and serenity. It is important to take the focus off myself or whatever circumstance I am in the midst of and to look upon my sweet Jesus who paid it all. There is such comfort and rest to know that I am redeemed and taken care of. I am valuable and so are you in Jesus Christ’s eyes. The melodic harmony is soothing to my soul. Maybe it will be to yours too? Put the focus on Him!
Really, the linked version below (in my opinion) is the only version below that puts the focus fully on Him. The original by Leonard Cohen was actually meant to appeal more secular. However, it is possible that Leonard Cohen had a deeper meaning when writing the original song since his music career was in a slump. My favorite is the Christmas version below though.
A Beautiful Christmas version of Hallelujah (These are the best lyrics compared to the original written by Leonard Cohen.)
Let’s praise our God and King this week!
