If you haven’t read my first Thankful ~ Grateful ~ Blessed post you’ll want to click the link to learn what it’s all about!
There is so much to be thankful for no matter where we are at in life or what our circumstances are. I know sometimes it may feel like that’s not true but I promise you that if you stop (that’s a key word) and take some time to reflect on your life and the goodness that’s in it, you will realize there are some (if not many) things to be able to be grateful for.
I have a new challenge for you in this post!
Thankful ~ Grateful ~ Blessed Challenge 2
For this challenge I want to focus on blessing and bringing joy to others again. During this time of the year we are all shopping online or in person for various things, whether it be food, gifts or products for the upcoming season. After you’ve purchased or ordered and received a product have you ever left a review? How about a bad review or comment? Isn’t it true that we may be quicker to file a complaint than file a compliment? Let’s change that around! During this season I would encourage you to leave a positive and uplifting comment online (or in person via comment card) for a job well done or a product that was well packaged and you love. You could even recommend that company or small business to another person if you were satisfied. These kinds of things go a long way for a person, company or small business.
We love to go out to eat (even though there are only a few select places we can eat at), and if we get a good server who gives us amazing service, we always leave a comment card or do the survey for corporate that says that persons name and gives them praises. I was a server for four years eons ago and I know this matters to management. Another thing I have done recently is email corporate when they brought out a new food that I liked. Actually, I loved it! I just emailed a quick one minute email to tell them I loved the food and thanks for the addition. The cool part was, even though I wasn’t looking for a handout, they sent me a coupon in the mail for a free meal at that restaurant! It’s simple. All it takes is a minute or two!
Those are just two examples of what this challenge is about. I am sure there are thousands more ways to participate in building others up and encouraging them in their days and weeks. Will you take on this challenge with me? I pray so!
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Have a beautiful week friends! Oh, and guess what ~ I appreciate you!
